Although they are often requested as a quartet, NQFlutes can naturally adapt to suit the needs of your particular event; from the intimate and subtle duo to the grander sound and sight of a quintet.  Whichever your desired NQFlutes ensemble, the girls will add that very special, highly individual touch to any occasion.

The individual members of the all female Northern Quarter Flutes have forged international careers performing a formidable repertoire throughout the UK and Europe.

They enjoy busy and successful performing careers as freelance orchestral musicians; collectively having worked with the BBC Philharmonic, Bath Philharmonia, British Philharmonic Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, Symphony Orchestra of India, the World Orchestra, the New London Orchestra, Arts Symphonic and the London Mahler Orchestra.  As individual soloists the girls have performed across the UK, as part of the Park Lane Group, Manchester Midday Concerts Society and on Radio 3’s ‘In Tune’.

They have performed with some of the main touring shows in the UK; Cameron Mackintosh’s Phantom of the Opera, Rodger and Hammerstein’s South Pacific and Disney’s The Lion King.  They have played at the Royal Festival Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, the Bridgewater Hall, Purcell Room, St John’s Smith Square, St Martin in the Field and the Opera Garnier in Paris.
